- 1 box (approx. 15 oz) Lemon cake mix
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 12 oz lemon-lime soda
- Optional: Fresh lemon zest for topping
- Preheat: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Mix Cream Cheese: In a bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread this mixture evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Add Cake Mix: Sprinkle the dry lemon cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Add Butter & Soda: Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, then pour the lemon-lime soda over the top. Do not stir.
- Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
- Cool & Serve: Let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with lemon zest or fresh berries if desired.
