Ingredients
4 large bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella blend)
1/2 cup cooked sausage or ground meat (optional)
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice off the tops of the bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes.
- Mix Filling: In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, meat (if using), green onions, and all seasonings until creamy and well mixed.
- Stuff: Spoon the mixture generously into each bell pepper, pressing down to pack it in. Stand the peppers upright in a baking dish.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes if you prefer a browned top.
- Serve: Let cool slightly, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
